Milano – Second Part
After taking several hundred photos in the morning I caught up with a friend for lunch. We agreed on a sandwich bar researched on Foursquare. The sandwich was good, but the coffee was amazing.

Milano – Prima Parte
After our side trip to Zermatt we had a train all the way through to Milano. Somehow coming through the Alps (through, as we went through many tunnels) the train was on time in Switzerland, and then suddenly running late as soon as we hit Italy.

Zermatt – the Swiss Alps
After Lausanne our next stop was in Milano, Italy. We were travelling by train through the alps and had organised to make a detour on the way over to Zermatt. We caught our first train to Visp where we found some luggage lockers for our bigger bags, and a convince store for coffees.

Basel & Bern by Train – Part 1, Basel
After a successful trip to see the Tour de France, our next adventure was a whirlwind whistle stop tour of Bern and Basel. The train wound its way around the edge of the lake leaving Lausanne, before heading north. The cliffs were full of perfectly manicured vineyards and farms.
