After visiting during the day I went back at night to try and get some photos of the Cathedral. One of the advantages of being so far north at this time of year is that “night time” is anytime after about 4pm, and by 6 or 7pm it is very dark.
In the morning I got my gear into my bag and set out for a walk into town. I wasn’t sure where I was going to end up, but went down to the river. There was a lot of snow on the ground, and I had my spikes on my boots
While I am still working my way through the last two (or three) countries in my SweetChilly blogs, I wanted to take the time to post some photos from a couple of weekends away I’ve managed this year.

I hadn’t taken any leave since early January, and it was really nice to have just one night away during a long weekend, and to head out with the sole purpose of taking photos and enjoying the scenery.
Yesterday was seeing Oslo from a boat, today I set out to see some boats. I had an Oslo card that included unlimited public transport, and Google Maps – between these I was able to get on a bus heading north out of town and around the edge of the fjord to a Viking Boat Museum. I don’t usually like busses, but these one did have USB charging ports in each seat.
