    After Lausanne our next stop was in Milano, Italy. We were travelling by train through the alps and had organised to make a detour on the way over to Zermatt. We caught our first train to Visp where we found some luggage lockers for our bigger bags, and a convince store for coffees.

  • The Magic Fountains

    The Magic Fountains

    A very popular attraction in Barcelona is the Magic Fountain. They are outside the Museu Nacional d’Art de Catalunya – National Art Museum of Catalonia in the avenue running down to the Arenas and the Torres Venecianes.

    They generally have a performance 3-4 times a week, depending on the season, and were first shown during the Great Universal Exhibition in 1929.

    or about 16km of walking…

    The next day I had breakfast in the hotel and waited for Alex and his wife, Lyn, to meet me before we headed out for the day. I got a message saying they were going to be a bit late, so I should head out in the morning first and they’ll meet me a little later at the hotel, so I went for a wander.

    30 some hours in Seoul

    Part 1, about 14 hours.

    I had an early start today, a very early start. I had to catch the first train out of Shinjuku going to the airport for my whirlwind trip to Seoul, Korea. To make getting around easier I arranged to leave my suitcase at the hotel in Tokyo, and just take a backpack with me.
