    In the morning I got my gear into my bag and set out for a walk into town. I wasn’t sure where I was going to end up, but went down to the river. There was a lot of snow on the ground, and I had my spikes on my boots

  • Which camera?

    I’ve had this blog post in my head for a little while. I have a bunch of different cameras that are great in different scenarios. I don’t think any of them are ‘better’ than any other, they are all different. They have different capabilities. Some are better at sports, some are better in low light. Some weigh over a kilogram, some fit in a pocket.

    Aussie Blog – Temora

    While I am still working my way through the last two (or three) countries in my SweetChilly blogs, I wanted to take the time to post some photos from a couple of weekends away I’ve managed this year. I was supposed to have been to Canada and Japan this year, those trips will have to wait for now.

    I hadn’t taken any leave since early January, and it was really nice to have just one night away during a long weekend, and to head out with the sole purpose of taking photos and enjoying the scenery.

  • Train to Trondheim

    Train to Trondheim

    It was a fairly early start again. I dragged my suitcase through the snow to the train station. The train from Oslo to Trondheim wasn’t as long as the one I caught in to Oslo, it was only three carriages long.

    The trip is a little over 7 hours, with a few stops along the way at some small, regional stations. Staring out the window at the snow-covered landscape was a fantastic way to pass the time, while also editing photos.
