Yesterday was seeing Oslo from a boat, today I set out to see some boats. I had an Oslo card that included unlimited public transport, and Google Maps – between these I was able to get on a bus heading north out of town and around the edge of the fjord to a Viking Boat Museum. I don’t usually like busses, but these one did have USB charging ports in each seat.

Norway is slightly more expensive than Sweden, and quite a bit more expensive than Finland. While the hotel was quite nice, I didn’t have breakfast included, so first order of the day was to find some coffee. I set out for a walk towards the foreshore.
Helsinki Sunrise and getting to Sweden
After almost seeing the sunrise the morning before I set out in the dark towards the foreshore at the south tip of Helsinki. I grabbed a tram from just outside the hotel. The tram took me through the centre and out towards the bay, where I had a nice walk through a park covered in snow from the night before.
Nuuksio – Finland
After spending a couple of days in Helsinki I figured I had rested my ankle enough, and I wanted to head a little way out of the city. I installed the local Helsinki public transport app on my phone, and asked Google Maps for directions. Nuuksio (which I still have no idea how it is pronounced) was two busses away. I knew I didn’t want to be trying to get back to Helsinki in the dark, so I set out quite early in the morning, in the dark.
