After a busy morning at the Cliffs of Moher I drove a little further south down the road to Hags Head.

I found a “car park” – an area out the front of someone’s house with a little sign and an honesty box, €5. There was a note saying that for small fee they’d drive you in their tractor through the fields to the cliff top. I decided I was still OK to walk.

The small fields were all separated with dry stone walls. The birds seemed to enjoy perching on them.

The path ends at the top of a cliff with an old tower, Moher Tower. Built in the early 1800s sits on the spot of a much older fort.

Limerick
I got to Limerick late afternoon and checked into my hotel for the night. I wasn’t sure about trying to find somewhere to park in town so I got a taxi down the road. I had already done over 15 thousand steps that day, so what was a few thousand more.
I found an old church, there are a few around, but by the time I got there it was closed for the evening.

I decided to do a lap around Thomond Bridge and Sarsfield Swivel Bridge, and maybe get some photos of the castle, from the outside, it was also about to close.
After not too long it started bucketing down. My umbrella wasn’t any help at all 😅

Luckily I found a pub that was open and I was able to order chips, soup, and soda bread. I decided I loved soda bread. I’ve even managed to bake some at home. I took my time and tried to dry off as best I could before heading back out.
